Biography

Tami Tice Jacob is a 2021 graduate of the Liberty University School of Law (LUSOL) and is practicing as an associate attorney in the Bice Law Group. Prior to joining the Bice Law Group, Tami was selected to work in the Lynchburg Commonwealth Attorney's Office as an intern through the LUSOL Prosecution Clinic.

Tami has an extensive background working with children through the legal system. Most recently, she was on staff as the Development Director and a volunteer advocate for the Central Virginia Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for Children.

She holds a master's degree in Community Counseling from Eastern Illinois University where she worked as a sexual assault and domestic violence counselor for The Illinois Coalition Against Child Abuse. Prior to returning to Lynchburg, Virginia, she worked as a lead litigation paralegal for Latham and Watkins in Chicago.

Tami has also completed 40 hours of specialized training in Mediation and Interest-Based Negotiation Skills; 40 hours of Domestic Violence Advocate Training; 30 hours of Sexual Assault Victim Training; Bridges Out of Poverty: Strategies for Professionals with national Trainer Jodi Pharr; Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Investigative Techniques Training; Trauma-Informed Care in the Classroom and the City of Lynchburg's 12 weeks Citizen's Academy Training.

Tami completed the 2017 Beach to Battleship 140.6 Triathlon (2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike and 26.2-mile run) and taught indoor cycling for over 10 years at the Jamerson YMCA. She still enjoys biking on her Peloton and running with friends.
